History
Over the last decade, we have established ourselves as an expert on executing Asian related transactions. In the past 10 years, we have executed more than 200 Asian related projects by serving growth oriented, privately owned businesses as well as public companies listed on stock exchanges in Hong Kong, China and other countries. We are currently Senior Economic Advisors to several Chinese cities and Chinese municipal governments on matters related to global economic development.
In 1998, we strengthened our Asia Pacific practice and opened a partnership office headquartered in Beijing's Central Business District. Since 2009, recognizing Asia's rapidly expanding domestic capital markets, our partnership office in Beijing has shifted its focus from the international capital markets to successfully funding companies accessing Asia's own domestic stock exchanges.
In 2006, we led the efforts in establishing a 120-student elementary school located in China's Hebei province, benefiting orphans and underprivileged kids in rural farming communities. In 2008, our firm and our employees donated significant amounts to China's Red Cross towards the Sichuan WenChuan earthquake relief efforts, one of the largest natural disasters in modern history. Since 2010, we have donated school supplies, provided support and funding for educational programs annually in the U.S. and China.
Led by our Executive Committee and our president, Mr. Benjamin Wey, we have been an active corporate member of the American Chamber of Commerce in China over the last decade. We support the AmCham's diligent efforts in enhancing communications between Asia and the U.S. business community. We provide jobs to our highly professional workforce and we support job growth initiatives in the United States.
